Introduction

Introduced from Europe (Donovan pers. comm. 2021 email). According to Flora North America 2021, “Plants referred to in the literature as S. alba var. vitellina cv. Pendula are treated here as S. ×sepulcralis.” (FNA online accessed April 21, 2021). There are eleven collections of this taxon in the UBC herbarium (Donovan 2021 pers. comm. email). Locations where it has been found in BC include an island in the Fraser River southwest of Agassiz, Port Coquitlam, 6 km. west of Chilliwack, Deas Slough, Jericho Beach, Spanish Banks, the Nanoose area of Vancouver Island, and Graham Island (Haida Gwaii),
